“Before there was art, there was only the need to express, the desire to gaze upon the world and its essence as it was felt. To take a mere thought and form it into something tangible.”

—Kiara Zhanaé

Allow me to introduce myself and what I like to do:

My name is Kiara Zhanaè,

(Pronounced: kee-R-rah | zhuh-NAY or zah-NAY)

Kiara holds many interpretations, but my favourite is in Korean: the first ray of sun.

Zhanaè is a name with roots across Africa, Asia, and Europe. It translates to carrying a sense of inner strength, resilience, grace and charm. These are qualities I have grown to embody and showcase in my creative works.

I am an individual who thrives on expression. From my earliest days, before I found my voice in words, I found my rhythm in dance and my confidence in clothing.

Art has always been my language, my way of connecting with the world.

Performance and storytelling have always felt like second nature. I’m drawn to roles and characters that let me explore different dimensions of thought and feeling. Over time, I’ve developed a chameleon-like ability to be able to embody different personas and connect with a variety of audiences.

Script analysis is a personal favourite of mine. There is something so freeing about exploring all the different characters and the layers they bring. I’m always up for roles that push boundaries and challenge the norm. Being able to tap into different parts of myself to bring those characters to life is what keeps it exciting.

At my core, I am a pursuer for knowledge, particularly in the esoteric, philosophy and psychology regions. Life's mysteries are something I love to unpack, to expand the horizons of what I know and how I see the world.

If you have outside-the-box concepts for a project, I'm your girl.

My background resides in theatre production, film, workshop leading, brand ambassadorship, and volunteering, with experience in stage management and theatre-in-education.

I’ve spent over 10 years honing my craft, and now as a freelance artist, I’m diving deeper into voice work and writing.

Voice over offers limitless potential, so my desire is to connect and collaborate with projects within and out of my comfort zone. Bringing stories to life, to me is a joy and hope to resonate with many people through my projects.

Voice Work I’m Interested In:

I also write from time to time and share my work via Instagram & YouTube (stay tuned!)
